PLC TEAM LEAD POSITIONS AVAILABLE
OVERVIEW
PLC team leaders work with continuing contract and probationary teachers to organize and help facilitate PLC meetings. They help PLC members develop their SMART goals for student achievement. This position pays a stipend of $300.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical assistance for PLCs, including scheduling, facilitation, agendas and forms
Report to principal regarding each team’s SMART goals and progress
Participate in building-level meetings for PLC/Data Team Leads
QUALIFICATIONS
Current Minnesota teaching license and continuing contract status
Must be available for ongoing training, potentially outside contract hours (all non-contract hours paid at the professional development rate)
Interest in professional learning/staff development and leadership
Strong leadership skills
Good organizational skills

Peer Coach Observers
Peer Coaches conduct pre and post conferences and observe teachers three times a year and provide feedback. Peer Coaches work with continuing contract teachers to design and implement a Professional Growth Plan that addresses a personal area of growth for the year.
Qualification
Continuing Contract teacher currently in the classroom or specialty practice with a minimum of five years teaching experience in the Robbinsdale School District
Displays knowledge of effective, evidence-based teaching practices and employs those practices in his or her role (teacher, counselor, psychologist, etc.)
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong interpersonal skill
Demonstrated ability to use data for instructional planning
Effective participant in a PLC
·Demonstrated leadership skills and recognized by peers as a teacher-leader
Ability to demonstrate excellent attendance
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines independently
Basic knowledge and understanding of the Robbinsdale Q-Comp system
Responsibilities
Conduct peer observations (45 minutes) and pre and post conferences (30 minutes) for continuing contract teachers and provide feedback on the Q-Comp system
Train continuing contract staff in the observation/evaluation process as outlined in the Q-Comp plan
Collect and maintain valid and reliable data regarding licensed staff performance
Act as resource for professional development opportunities for all staff that would improve the observation and evaluation process
Guide continuing contract teachers through the professional growth plan
Maintain ongoing contact with Q-Comp Coordinator
Participate in local, state, and national training as needed
Maintain records of observations and other information necessary for the successful implementation of the Q-Comp program
